How We Use The Information. The information we collect is used to assist us in providing basic financial services to you.
What We Disclose. We DO NOT disclose any information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law.
We are permitted by law to share nonpublic personal information about you to “affiliates” (companies related to us by common control or ownership).
We are also permitted by law to share nonpublic personal information about you to “non-affiliated third parties” (parties that are not related to us by common control or ownership) in certain circumstances. For example, to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us we may disclose information to third parties, to government agencies in response to subpoenas, and to credit bureaus. Those third parties are contractually obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide, and to use the information only to provide the services we have asked them to perform on your and our behalf.
We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.
We will continue to adhere to our Privacy Policy for former customers in the same manner in which we adhere to it for existing customers.
Customer Information Security Procedures. Lakeview Bank is committed to maintaining appropriate and adequate security standards to ensure the privacy and integrity of customer information. We restrict access to information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect your information.
Electronic Banking. Lakeview Bank recognizes the importance of technology in the delivery of its products and services. We are cognizant of the inherent risks associated with such, and are committed to providing strong safeguards related to these delivery channels.
Web Site. We do not collect personal identifying information when you visit our website.
Email Privacy. Information delivered via traditional email messaging is not secure. When a visitor to our website selects the option to contact us via email, we provide a warning recommending that the individual not send personal or confidential information. It is the policy of Lakeview Bank to not transmit confidential customer information via traditional email. Customers utilizing our Internet banking service are provided a method of sending secure emails to Lakeview Bank, and for bank personnel to respond in a secure manner.
User Authentication.Lakeview Bank adheres to strict user authentication standards in regard to its Internet banking service. Users are provided a unique I.D. and password, and are forced to change the password the first time they access the system. An account is locked out after three failed attempts, and an email is sent to the customer informing them of the lockout (this is done to alert a customer in the event that an unauthorized individual is attempting to access their account information). Passwords are required to be at least 7 characters in length, contain both alpha and numeric characters, and are required to be changed every 90 days.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Technology. Our Internet banking service utilizes secure socket layer (SSL) technology. This technology encrypts or scrambles your account information to allow a high level of security. To support SSL, customers must have an Internet browser which supports 128-bit encryption.
Cookies. A cookie is a small amount of information about an Internet session that may be created when a visitor accesses a web site. Our Internet banking service currently employs cookies to facilitate easier navigation within the site. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information, and we do not combine information collected through cookies with other personal information to determine who you are or your email address. These cookies are not written to visitors’ hard drive and exist only until the browser is shut down.
What You Can Do. The following identify some steps you can take to help ensure the security of your confidential information:
Do not share your Internet (eBanking) I.D. or password with anyone;
Change your password regularly;
Sign off your eBanking session when you are done;
