Minnesota Business Ethics Award
On June 3, 2008, Lakeview Bank was honored with the 2008 Minnesota Business Ethics Award. The award recognizes Minnesota businesses that exemplify and promote ethical conduct for the benefit of the workplace, the marketplace, the environment and the community. Established in 1999, the award is sponsored by the Twin Cities Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Center for Ethical Business Cultures and the Rotary Clubs of Edina and White Bear Lake.
Lakeview Bank began focusing on its core values and business ethics a full year before it opened its doors in 2004. The Lakeville, Minn., company espouses integrity, honesty, respect, service, attitude and professionalism. Lakeview President Tom Mork said, “I am truly delighted for our team that we have been honored in this way. We know we are conducting business in a manner we can all be proud of, but it’s always nice to receive external affirmation. I can’t express how pleased I am with the direction we are taking this bank.” Lakeview Bank was honored in the “Small Company” category along with Ron Clark Construction and Design, a residential builder and developer in Edina, Minn. Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union out of St. Paul, Minn., was recognized in the “Mid-sized Company” category and The Toro Company of Bloomington, Minn., was honored in the “Large Company” category.
Mork commented, “It is humbling to be recognized with such high-caliber organizations. For us to stand here as a four-year-old company and to have accomplished so much is a testament not only to our employees, but also to our customers. Everything we do is focused on our customers and they are certainly the cornerstone to our success.”
